Reviews
I was very nervous on my way to Rome due to many of the previous so negative review however, all the bookings are set so I just embrace whatever with open heart.
Room
To my surprise, the room was lovely and clean. Toilet was small but okay for me (177cm asian guy). Staff are also attentive and kind. They also provided toiletries and a bottle of water. Wall seems to be a bit thin for european standard as I can hear voices from other room but it’s still ok.
Breakfast
The hotel served breakfast for 5 euro. Nothing fancy however the sweet croissants were quite nice.
Location
Probably this is the only down side of the hotel. The neighborhood where this hotel is located is quite sketchy and far from the station (20 mins using bus / tram, including 10 mins walk). There’s a supermarket on the side of the hotel though.
All in all, I don’t think this hotel deserves all the hate. I had a decent stay at the given price, and it suits my expectation (4.1 Google rating) .
I came here on a school trip when I was 14 years old and it blew me away. I came back when I was 31 and it was just as amazing! Staff are incredibly friendly and always willing to help. For example, I messed up the last night of my reservation and accidentally ended my stay a night earlier than I meant to. The staff helped me get another room and were so pleasant to deal with. This hotel has an incredibly authentic feel, beautiful rooms and exceptional staff. I highly recommend staying here! Well done to all the staff that work here and make it such a lovely experience!
Where do I even begin... The initial check-in was fine. The man at the front desk was nice and accommodating. No complaints there. Firstly, the room was so small. Two decent-sized beds but barely any space to walk between the door, the beds and the large wardrobe. There were an extra set of blankets in the wardrobe that absolutely stank. HORRIBLY!!! They smelt like vomit. So much so that the clothes that I was wearing to sleep while I was wearing the blanket for extra warmth smelt like vomit the next day. Disgusting... The bathroom was standard. The shower is so tiny. So tiny that you can't even bend down to touch your toes or extend your arms beyond your elbow. If you're tall or have any mobility issues, I would advise against this place just for how hard it is to shower in the bathroom. There was a small ledge on the sink that I think was too close to the actual bowl so I felt like I was gonna hit my head every time I washed my face. The room was also lit very poorly. Super yellow light and just overall wasn't pleasant. Location was decent. Quick car ride to the city centre. Overall 2/5. I wouldn't stay here again and I wouldn't recommend it either.
Quaint hotel with an accommodating staff. It was a small room with an odd bathroom, but presumably normal for Rome. We enjoyed the courtyard view. The front desk provided slippers when I asked, and offered us cappuccinos after checkout, which was great!
Amazing experience. Vintage room and furnitures. View in the garden. Very clean because every day the maids clean the rooms. Not so far from the center. Breakfast was great and in a low cost
The personal is very nice, pleasant and open people, they really made the stay at this place. Very quiet accompanied, atmosphere is also nice and calm, the yard is marvelous. The room and hotel in general is not very fresh, but it didn’t …
My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights on our trip to Rome and had a wonderful experience! The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the hotel has a lovely courtyard to spend time in! We arrived early and were able to get in our room quickly. A little further from the main tourist attractions but it is very easy to get there. This is a hidden gem and I would definitely stay here again! Thank you to the staff Alessandro (Alex) for making our experience in Rome and at this hotel so wonderful!
Not really. Be aware that it's not perfect for getting around the tourist destinations of Rome, but once you figure out the public transportation it's alright. FYI: taxi fees are higher from central Rome because it's outside the old city walls.
